Surprise! You went into your Facebook Page to a) either share something on/from a business Page you want to follow or b) to “like” a new business Page and found the traditional interface had changed or you couldn’t find where to search for a Page.
As it’s a good practice to “Like” or Follow relevant/complementary businesses, there are 2 ways to “Like” a Page as a Business (Manager) Page:
- “Like” a Page from a Page (business to business)
- “Like” a Page from a personal page (personal to business)
NOTE: This only works on the desktop. This does not work from Mobile or or when using a tablet. Annoying, I know.
Video updated as of March 15, 2019
Here’s a short video of how to “Like” a Page from your Page, how to “Like” a Page as a Page you manage from your personal page, and how to find out who your Page liked when it’s all done. Lots of B2B love going on here!
First, go to your Page. On right sidebar, click on “See Pages Feed.”
On a Business Page (Updated August 3, 2017):
Next, you’ll see a green button on top of the newsfeed. Click this button and type the Page you want to “like” by typing its name in the search bar that pops up. Once the Page you want appears, click “Save”, and it’ll be added to your Pages list.
You can accomplish the same thing from your personal profile by typing the Page you’re seeking in the search bar. When it appears, click to that Page and you’ll see a row of tabs as below. Click on the 3 dots (far right) and a dropdown will appear, in which you’ll see “Like as Your Page”. When you click that, you should see another dropdown pop up that will enable you to select the Page that you wish to “Like” as..
When you click on the dropdown arrow, you’ll see the Pages for which you have management permissions, select that then click “save”.
[UPDATE: APRIL 15, 2016]
How to Post on the Business Page that you’ve “Liked”:
Go to the Page that you “Liked” and want to post on. Go to the status area. Write your post then click on the small dropdown you’ll see in upper right corner of status area. In that dropdown, you’ll see the option to “Post as..” and then select your managed Page that you wish to post as.

When you click on the dropdown in upper right corner of status area, the Pages you manage should show in the dropdown. Select the Page for which you desire to post as.
If any questions, please ask in Comments!
Cheers!
Teresa
- From within a Page
- From within a personal profile
Important! As of August 28, 2017, the ability to manage these tasks is ONLY available via desktop at this time. Anticipating that Facebook will add these features to mobile/tablet devices soon.
Note: "Page" refers to a business Page or a business Page managed from Business Manager. The process is the same.

I tested the posting out. Go to the business page that you “liked” and want to post on. Go to the status area. Write your post then click on the small dropdown you’ll see in upper right corner of status area. In that dropdown, you’ll see the option to “Post as..” and then select your Business Page that you wish to post as. Hope this helps. I’ll update my blog with the screenshots for this. If it doesn’t work for you, please let me know and I’ll troubleshoot.

You’re welcome, Erica. I agree. The new way, though it offers 2 ways to complete the task, is not intuitive. I hope they go back to the way it was. With enough complaints, they may.

Is there anyway to do this faster? I used to be able to switch to the page I’m managing, type a keyword and just click like all the way down the list. Now I have to open each manually, click on the … and then select the page I’m managing to “like” as. This can’t be the only way to do this…

Hi Stephanie,
If you type the keyword in search from your Personal page, it’s faster. Once you get to the Biz Page you want to like, then click on the 3 dots (as described above in blog) and then select “Like as Your Page” and you should see all the pages in the dropdown to select from. This is faster than doing what you described. I think it’s a bit odd that it should be faster from a personal page but it is. When I get some time, I’ll research to see if a faster way from when in your Biz Page. Do you use any social management tool, such as Hootsuite? I’m going to investigate from that end as well.

Now that I’ve liked several pages using my business page, I want to see which pages I’ve liked. I’m starting to lose track of who I’ve like and who I have yet to like. Where on my business page or in business manager would I find such a list of pages I’ve liked?

Hi Ted, I know what you mean and I don’t see that option on mobile. I contacted Facebook and will see if there’s a workaround. The apps, as you probably found out, are limiting in that the Personal Facebook app doesn’t let us switch to our own business Page and when in Pages, there’s no discovery or ability to switch to our own Page when in a managed Page. Well, Facebook makes a lot of changes and options come and go, so I’ll see if can get an answer from them.

Hi Ted, I got a response from Facebook, and it’s as I thought. This is still not an option, and there is no workaround on this for mobile, unfortunately. Here’s their response: “The feature to like a Page as your Page is not available for mobile. You would need to access this feature from a desktop. Any feedback or suggestions that you have are always welcome and will help us to improve.
You can provide your feedback regarding the implementation of this feature to our Product Development team through this link here: https://www.facebook.com/help/contact/268228883256323/?ref=u2u “

Wow, I really appreciate the follow up on this. Thank you so much. Like you, I figured that this was simply not available on mobile at this time.
I manage several other business’ pages with business manager and have almost normal functionality with each account across desktop and mobile. But, since mine is “claimed” it is almost completely removed from the regular Facebook experience. I am considering removing my page from being “claimed” within business manager but I don’t want to regret it. I seem to recall notices about such actions being irreversible.
Do you have any understanding about removing and then re-adding claimed pages from and to Business Manager? Thanks again for your help!

Hi Ted, You’re very welcome! Actually, I was faced with same and nervous about the “no going back” language in there; however, I did go through and remove some accounts AFTER getting a Facebook human being on the phone with me to walk through the exercise, and he said “it wasn’t so” about not being reversible. That being said, I’m not sure about re-adding them–or about your umbrella account–because I never added any Pages back in or tried it with my own. One idea is create a sandbox business Page setup attached to a sandbox personal account and then experiment with it before trying it with important Pages. It may be faster than getting a human being at Facebook. My experience took over 3 weeks because customer support person was only allotted 15 minutes per call and strictly kept to it, go figure. Anyway, if you create the sandbox account, let me know how it works out. Otherwise, if I get some time to experiment, I’ll let you know. Two other resources for this question might be @SMExaminer and @AndreaVahl. Hope this helps!

Is there any way to do this from a tablet or does it have to be a desktop? I’m not seeing the same layout on my phone or tablet and it’s extremely frustrating! It’s taken me weeks just to find this helpful article!

Hi Sarah, I understand your frustration! Unfortunately, this feature is only available via a desktop at this time. Given the increasing usage of mobile/tablets, I anticipate Facebook will add this feature at some point. I received similar question earlier and so here’s the response I had received from Facebook just past June: “The feature to like a Page as your Page is not available for mobile.
